The above Scriptures containing these five words
which convey the idea of planning, determining before hand, foreknowing,
placing limitations upon, willing, and the setting forth of a plan should be
sufficient to show that according to the Scripture nothing has happened by
chance, but that all things are part of a plan which God laid down in the
beginning. This plan is called His eternal purpose in Scripture and theologians
refer to it as the Divine Decree, or in considering the respective parts of
that purpose, the Decrees of God.
