This attribute is emphasized in Scripture and has become the theme of much of our hymnology. “I am the Lord, I change not” (Malachi 3:6). “Thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail” (Hebrews 1:12). “The Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
