6) Again, He is called God in Hebrews 1:8: “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever.” The A.S.V., the R.S.V., and the N.E.B. give an alternate translation in the margin: “God is thy throne,” whatever that may mean. Practically all versions, however, retain the vocative form for God.
