Psalm 69 (29 of 39 notes)

The Treasury of David
by Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892)

27. Add iniquity to their iniquity. Unbelievers will add sin to sin, and so punishment to punishment. This is the severest prophecy of all. And let them not come into thy righteousness. If they refuse it, and resist thy Gospel, let them shut themselves out of it. Those who choose evil shall have their choice. Those who hate divine mercy will not have it forced on them, but (unless sovereign grace interpose) will be left to themselves to aggravate their guilt, and ensure their doom.
