Certain
terminology with which the student should be familiar is used in classifying
sacred literature.
1. Genuine. A writing is said to be genuine when it
can be traced back to the author whose name it bears, or to its reputed author.
In the event that the author’s name is not known the term would simply mean
that the content of the book is the same as when it was written.
