A DISPENSATIONAL THEOLOGY

It
must be admitted by all that in former times men were accepted or rejected before
God on the basis of the sacrifice they offered. Cain’s vegetable sacrifices were
rejected because they were not offered in faith. Now, were men in those days
saved by animal sacrifices? Did these sacrifices have anything to do with their
salvation? If man was saved by grace through faith apart from any ceremony, as
he is today, what was the purpose of offering animal sacrifices? And could a
man have been saved who refused to offer the sacrifices which God had
prescribed? Since the breaking of one of the commandments was equivalent to
breaking the whole law (James 2:10),
and since everyone who broke the law was under the curse (Galatians 3:10), and since every Israelite was guilty
of breaking at least one of the commandments, every Israelite must have been under
the curse. Could one under the curse be saved? If so, how?
