Psalms 8

1  To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

1  Oh Jehova nga Ginoo namo, Pagkahalangdon sa imong ngalan sa tibook nga yuta, Nga gibutang mo ang imong himaya sa ibabaw sa mga langit!

2  Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

2  Gikan sa baba sa mga magagmayng bata ug sa mga nagasuso gipahamutang mo ang kalig-on, Tungod sa imong mga kabatok, Aron ikaw makapahilum sa kaaway ug sa tigpanimalus.

3  When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

3  Sa magapalandong ako sa imong mga langit, sa buhat sa imong mga tudlo, Sa bulan ug sa mga bitoon nga imong gibut-an;

4  What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

4  Unsa ba ang tawo, nga ikaw matinagdanon man kaniya? Ug ang anak sa tawo, nga ikaw nagdu-aw man kaniya?

5  For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

5  Kay gibuhat mo siya nga ubos lamang ug diyutay kay sa mga manolonda, Ug gipurongpurongan mo siya uban sa himaya ug dungog.

6  Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

6  Binuhat mo siya nga agalon sa mga binuhat sa imong mga kamot; Ang tanan gibutang mo sa ilalum sa iyang mga tiil:

7  All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

7  Tanang mga carnero ug mga vaca, Oo, ug ang mga mananap sa kapatagan,

8  The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

8  Ang mga langgam sa kalangitan, ug ang mga isda sa dagat, Bisan unsa nga moagi sa mga alagianan sa kadagatan.

9  O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

9  Oh Jehova, nga among Ginoo, Pagkahalangdon sa imong ngalan sa tibook nga yuta!
