Part One
INTRODUCTION: 1 PROLOGUE
A DISPENSATIONAL THEOLOGY
By Charles F Baker
Considerable criticism has
been leveled against this dispensational scheme, especially as represented on
charts of the dispensations, which appear to be saying that the principle which
characterized each of these economies ceased or became inoperative at the end
of each period. This is obviously not true. Conscience did not cease with the
flood; human government did not cease with the call of Abraham; the promise
assuredly did not pass away with the giving of the law, for Paul plainly states
that the law covenant could not disannul, “that it should make the promise of
none effect” (Galatians 3:17). These facts show
us that these dispensation are inter-related that many of principles injected
into an earlier dispensation continue in effect throughout subsequent ones.
